Review

The Super Mario Bros movie was based on the well-known Super Mario Bros franchise and was made by well-known actor/producer Seth Rogen. Although the Super Mario Bros had a storyline of trying to save Princess Peach’s kingdom, there was no actual storyline when it comes to the games that it was based on. Since this movie already had a major fanbase due to the game, Seth Rogen had to make a script that not only made sense with the very little material there was based on the game but had to make a good movie that will not let down the movie. The movie itself goes off the general idea that Mario and his brother Luigi have to go help Princess Peach from the infamous Bowser who is trying to take over. However, since this is a movie for kids as well as for many adults who love the franchise there are many comedy bits that make both children and adults laugh. This movie also included many easter eggs that bring references to the games and games from that era, such as the original way the Mario Bros run, the original game that Mario was based on, and many more. As well as bringing a character from his own franchise Donkey Kong, making fans like this movie even more. This movie was an amazing movie for a family movie night since it can both entertain adults and new fans of the Mario franchise.
